i. Retrieve from the tracker and update the title block.
B. Site Number, Site Name, Address:
i. Retrieve from the tracker and update the title block and the upper right corner of the sheet.
C. Zoning Jurisdiction:
i. Retrieve from the tracker and update AutoCAD. If the jurisdiction is Orange County, a Site Plan must be provided.
A. Edit Title Block:
i. Drawn By: Select the text “X. XXXXXXX.” A downward-facing filled arrow icon will appear. Click it to display the Dynamic Block drop-down menu and select the Drawn By user's name.
ii. Carrier Logo: Select the Carrier Logo in the Title Block. A downward-facing filled arrow icon will appear. Click it to display the Dynamic Block drop-down menu and select the correct carrier.

ii. Update the information in AutoCAD.
A. Update Notes:
i. Replace the placeholder text “XXXXXX” with the correct Carrier.
B. Scope of Work:
i. Typically updated at the end of the task prior to manager review. Ensure the full scope of work is understood, including what equipment is added or removed. Return to this section if necessary.
A. Map Images:
i. Retrieve latitude and longitude from the tracker and input them into Google Maps: https://support.google.com/maps
ii. Zoom to a view with a highway and the project location centered on the image.
iii. Use the Windows Snipping Tool to capture screenshots of the map: Snipping Tool Instructions.
iv. Capture a second image with a local road and site location (including intersecting streets and names labeled).
B. Insert Map Images into AutoCAD:
i. Open model space by selecting the lower left Model Tab in AutoCAD.
iii. Paste the images as required and stretch the image to the height of the predefined box in the model.
iii. Move the site location marker (Block) to the correct spot on the map (in layout paperspace).
A. Select the large upper left Carrier Logo:
i. A downward-facing filled arrow icon will appear. Click it to display the Dynamic Block drop-down menu and select the correct carrier.
A. Generic Template:
i. T2 serves as a generic template subject to modification based on the project's requirements.
B. Installation Projects:
i. For projects involving installations, the T2 template remains generic.
C. Demolition Projects:
i. For projects involving demolition, adjust the T2 template accordingly.
A. Purpose:
i. APX uses "C" for Civil sheets instead of "S" for Structural sheets. This is done to bypass reviewers who might specifically look for "S" sheets, potentially passing the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) review process with fewer comments.
ii. C sheets may contain elements that are demoed or decommissioned.
iii. Must also include new or modified equipment.
A. Purpose:
i. Used exclusively for demolition or decommissioning tasks.
ii. Scope is limited to the removal of existing equipment.
A. Conduct Site Walk:
i. APX managers will conduct a site walk to verify all equipment and conditions.
B. Review Prior Work:
i. Prior to the site visit, APX managers will search for any previous work done by APX on the site.
ii. If APX has previously worked on the site, the most updated drawings will be used for comparison and marked up based on site walk observations
A. Access Sketch File:
i. The Site Walk Sketch file, containing markups and notes, will be stored in the project folder.
ii. This file includes the latest work performed by APX on the site.
A. Determine Project Details:
i. Check the title block in the Site Walk Sketch file for the project number, name, location, carrier, and date.
ii. Use this information to copy the latest AutoCAD roof plan to start your new drawings.
A. Multiple Carriers:
i. Note that projects often have more than one carrier located on the same site/rooftop.
ii. The latest drawings may be from a project involving a different carrier.
iii. Review the markups thoroughly before beginning.
A. Consult APX Managers:
i. If no site walk sketch is available, ask the APX managers which drawing they want to be used.
A. Convert PDF to AutoCAD:
i. Try converting a PDF to AutoCAD if existing drawings are unavailable.
B. Draw from Scratch:
i. Create drawings in AutoCAD from scratch based on hand sketches and photos with taken dimensions.

i. Go to the Microsoft Teams group called "APX Design Technology."
ii. In the "General" channel, find the tab at the top named "CAD Tasks."
iii. Open the relevant task/card.
B. Review Task Notes:
i. In the Notes section of the task, review the instructions on what equipment to add, remove, or change.
ii. Usually, you can find the manufacturer, model number, and specifications for the equipment using this information.
A. Use network locations:
i. A:\Manufacturer specs
ii. A:\AutoCAD files\Library\G - Equipment details
iii. A:\AutoCAD files\Library\H - Manufacturer details
A. Ensure all users use a single unified location for AutoCAD content:
i. Personal consolidated libraries must not be allowed to continue and a single unified location for AutoCAD content must be created and maintained.
A. Manufacturer's Website:
i. If the equipment does not exist on APX servers, use the manufacturer's website to download PDFs or DWGs of the equipment.
ii. Convert the downloaded files to AutoCAD format as needed.
B. Requesting Equipment:
i. For SitePro1 and Commscope products, request the necessary files from the manufacturer by email through the APX Engineer, if timing allows.
A. C1 – Site Plan:
i. Depending on the AHJ requirements, such as Florida’s Orange County, which requires a Site Plan.
B. C2 – Roof Plan:
i. For building roof-mounted towers and equipment.
C. C2 – Compound Plan:
i. For self-support towers, guyed towers, and monopoles.
D. C3 – Equipment Plans:
i. Cabinets go on their own sheets.
E. C4 – Antenna Plans:
i. Antennas go on their own sheets.
ii. Antennas are denoted by sectors, with Sector 1 always being North. Subsequent sectors are clockwise, with antennas located accordingly.
iii. Enlarged views are per sector.
iv. North is true North, not plan North (top of the drawing on screen).
